About the ITF-14 Barcode

The ITF-14 barcode belongs to the Code 2 of 5 Family family. Shipping containers / GTIN-14. On this page you can generate ITF-14 barcodes directly in your browser: enter your data, watch the preview update in real time, then download the finished symbol as PNG or SVG. Rendering happens locally on your device — nothing you type is ever uploaded to a server.

The Code 2 of 5 family is a group of numeric-only symbologies that encode digits in pairs of bars (and, in interleaved variants, in the spaces between them). Early variants encode only in the bars, which makes them easy to print but not self-checking; interleaved variants alternate digits between bars and spaces for higher density. They are widely used for warehouse labels, industrial tracking, and airline baggage tags where the data is purely numeric.

ITF-14 codes are used for warehouse shelving, outer packaging, industrial sorting lines, and baggage tags. Because the data is fixed inside the symbol at generation time, a printed ITF-14 barcode keeps working indefinitely — there is no service behind it, no expiry date, and no per-scan fee.

ITF-14 Barcode — Frequently Asked Questions

Is the ITF-14 barcode generator free?

Yes. You can generate and download ITF-14 barcodes for free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Generation runs entirely in your browser — your data is never uploaded.

What data can I encode in a ITF-14 barcode?

13-14 digits (numeric). For example: 1234567890123. If your data does not match the expected format, the encoder will show an error instead of producing a symbol that cannot scan.

Which download formats are supported?

PNG for screens and documents, and SVG for unlimited-quality print and design work. Both formats are rendered locally in your browser.

Does a ITF-14 barcode expire?

No. The barcode is a fixed image of the data you entered — it keeps scanning for as long as the print or display lasts. If your data changes, simply generate a new barcode.
