The Code 93 barcode belongs to the Linear Codes family. Compact linear code. On this page you can generate Code 93 barcodes directly in your browser: enter your data, watch the preview update in real time, then download the finished symbol as PNG or SVG. Rendering happens locally on your device — nothing you type is ever uploaded to a server.
Linear (1D) symbologies encode data in the widths of parallel bars and spaces. They are read left-to-right by laser scanners, CCD readers, and phone cameras, and they need a clear quiet zone on both sides so the reader can locate the start and stop patterns. Linear codes hold little data — usually a short reference number — which is exactly why they remain the standard for product and asset identification.
Code 93 codes are used for inventory and asset labels, shipping references, library cards, and equipment tags. Because the data is fixed inside the symbol at generation time, a printed Code 93 barcode keeps working indefinitely — there is no service behind it, no expiry date, and no per-scan fee.
