The tool loads your PDF using the pdf-lib JavaScript library. It reads the page count, then splits the PDF into smaller PDFs based on your settings — page ranges, one page per file, or chunks of N pages. Each split is zipped with JSZip so you download one ZIP archive.

What are page ranges?
A page range tells the tool which pages to put in each split. For example, 1-3 means pages 1 through 3. 5-7 means pages 5 through 7. A single number like 10 means just page 10. You can mix them: 1-3, 5-7, 10 creates three splits.
Can I split every page into its own PDF?
Yes. Pick the "Split into individual pages" option. The tool will create one small PDF for each page of your PDF. For a 10-page PDF you get 10 small PDFs, all in one ZIP.
Can I split every N pages?
Yes. Pick the "Split every N pages" option and type a number N. The tool will create a new split every N pages. For a 10-page PDF with N=3 you get 4 splits: pages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10.
Does splitting reduce PDF quality?
No. Splitting copies pages as-is into new PDFs. The text, fonts, and images stay exactly the same as the original. There is no recompression or quality loss.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
No. The tool cannot open password-protected PDFs. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, save a copy without a password, and then split that copy here.
