Use Cases

Turn PDFs into HTML for Every Job

From blog drafts to email content to web pages — get text out of any PDF.

Blog Posts

Turn a PDF report or white paper into a draft blog post. Extract the text, then format and publish on your site.

Web Reading

Some PDFs are hard to read on small screens. Convert to HTML so the text reflows to fit any phone or tablet.

Email Content

Pull text out of a PDF so you can paste it into an email. HTML works in most email apps and keeps the line breaks.

Web Scraping

Skip the copy-paste step. Get the text out of a PDF as structured HTML so your script or editor can read it fast.

Searchable Text

PDF text extracted to HTML becomes easy to search, copy, and index. Web pages are easier to search than PDFs.

Reuse Content

Have a PDF brochure or flyer? Pull the text out as HTML and reuse it on a landing page, in a doc, or in a slide deck.

FAQ

Common Questions

Is the PDF to HTML converter free?

Yes. 100% free. No signup, no account, no watermark, no daily limit. Convert one PDF or a hundred — same free price forever.

How does the PDF to HTML converter work?

The tool loads your PDF inside your browser using pdf.js. For each page, it calls getTextContent() to read the text and its positions, then rebuilds each page as a clean HTML section. All pages are joined into one HTML file. Nothing is sent to a server.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Your PDF never leaves your device. All text extraction happens inside your browser using pdf.js. There is no upload, no server copy, no tracking. 100% private.

Does the HTML keep the original PDF layout?

Not pixel-perfect. This tool extracts text content into clean HTML. It keeps paragraph and line breaks where the PDF has them, but it does not preserve complex multi-column layouts, fonts, colors, or images. For a pixel-perfect snapshot, use our PDF to JPG tool.

What about images and tables in the PDF?

Images are not extracted — only text. Table text is pulled out in reading order. If the PDF is a scanned image with no real text, the HTML will be empty because there is no text layer inside the PDF.

Can I edit the HTML after download?

Yes. The output is plain HTML with standard tags. Open it in any text editor or HTML editor, change the words, restyle with CSS, and reuse the text in a blog post, email, or web page.

Will the tool work on a scanned PDF?

No. Scanned PDFs are images, not text. This tool reads the text layer that real PDFs have inside. If the PDF is just photos of pages, the text layer is empty and the HTML will be empty. Run an OCR tool first to add a text layer, then use this converter.

Will the converter work on my phone?

Yes. The tool works on any modern browser — desktop, tablet, or phone. It is mobile-first and touch-friendly. Just open the page, pick a PDF, and convert.
