4K Export: Why Resolution Matters

What's the maximum amount of data a QR code can hold?
It depends on the encoding mode and error correction level. At Level L: up to 7,089 numeric characters, 4,296 alphanumeric characters, or 2,953 bytes. At Level H, these capacities drop significantly — roughly 60–80% depending on the encoding mode — because most of the code's space is used for error correction data instead of your content. For practical purposes, keep URLs under 300 characters for best scannability.
